Deliciously aromatic plum tart, very mild but yummy! Serves 4 or two if you're greedy.
Ingredients
1 sheet of puff pastry
8-12 Victoria plums (or whatever other fresh plums you can lay your hands on)
Half a jar of East Coast Chilli Company Chilli & Ginger jam (for a standard size puff pastry sheet)
1 Egg
Demerara sugar
Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 190 degrees C
Meanwhile, place puff pastry sheet on a lightly oiled tray and lightly score about 1 inch all around the edge
Lightly egg wash the edge for a glazed finish
Liberally brush about half a jar of East Coast Chilli Company Chilli & Ginger jam in the centre
Half and pit 8-12 Victoria plums and place halves cut side down onto jam-covered pastry
Sprinkle some Demerara sugar over the plums
Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes
Serve hot with fresh cream, custard or ice cream
