Chilli & Ginger Plum Tart

Deliciously aromatic plum tart, very mild but yummy! Serves 4 or two if you're greedy.
Ingredients
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 8-12 Victoria plums (or whatever other fresh plums you can lay your hands on)
  • Half a jar of East Coast Chilli Company Chilli & Ginger jam (for a standard size puff pastry sheet)
  • 1 Egg
  • Demerara sugar
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 190 degrees C
  2. Meanwhile, place puff pastry sheet on a lightly oiled tray and lightly score about 1 inch all around the edge
  3. Lightly egg wash the edge for a glazed finish
  4. Liberally brush about half a jar of East Coast Chilli Company Chilli & Ginger jam in the centre
  5. Half and pit 8-12 Victoria plums and place halves cut side down onto jam-covered pastry
  6. Sprinkle some Demerara sugar over the plums
  7. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes
  8. Serve hot with fresh cream, custard or ice cream
