An authentic Thai-style sauce: sweet, sour, salty and a little bit of spice.
Did you know that your mouth has receptors to pick up tastes that are sweet, sour, salty and spicy? This Asian style dipping sauce has all four to make it exceptionally tasty and deeply satisfying, with just a wee bit of heat supplied by our mildest chillies.
Sweet chilli sauces are often full of chemical ingredients and all manner of nasties, but here we keep if fresh and tasty with simple, natural ingredients. We spent a lot of time working on this recipe to get just the right balance flavours and to bring out the best from these all natural ingredients.
This sauce is fantastic on anything barbecued, with the sweet and sour flavours really complimenting anything smoky. It can even be used as a marinade or stir-fry sauce, but it really comes into its own as a straight-up dipping sauce for crackers, chicken or prawns.
